Bid Whist is a dynamic and engaging card game designed for Android users. A classic partnership trick-taking game, it uses a 54-card deck with the inclusion of two jokers. The game is played between two teams of two players each, with teammates sitting opposite one another. The main goal is to reach a score of 7 or more points or push the opponent's score to negative 7 points. Success in Bid Whist is achieved through strategic bidding and winning tricks, referred to as books in this game. A unique feature is the No Trump bids, which can significantly increase points either positively or negatively.

Bidding Strategy

In Bid Whist, the bidding process is integral to gameplay. Beginning with the player to the left of the dealer, each player gets one turn to bid. Bids range from 4 to 7 and include terms like "uptown," "downtown," or "no trump." The numeral in each bid represents the team’s commitment to winning books beyond the initial six. For instance, a bid of 5 requires the team to secure 11 books. The suffix indicates the player's strategy: Uptown means high cards and a trump suit; Downtown implies low cards with a trump suit; No Trump allows the winner of the bid to decide the order of card preference after winning.

Ease of Play

For an adaptable gaming experience, Bid Whist offers two bidding modes: Easy and Traditional (Hard Bidding). Under Hard Bidding, players can only view the Kitty Cards after selecting the Trump Suit and the direction of play, either Uptown or Downtown. Conversely, Easy Bidding permits players to see the Kitty Cards beforehand, enhancing strategy formulation, especially when opting for a No Trump Bid.
